High-Quality PBMC Separation Made Efficient with CellSep PRO Cell Processing System

Date: 2024.05.11 Share:

Introduction

In the cell therapy industry, achieving high-purity and high-viability  peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) is crucial. The CellSep PRO cell processing system utilizes axial centrifugation technology along with density gradient centrifugation principles to effectively isolate PBMCs from blood samples. This system is instrumental in supporting research and clinical applications in cell therapy, enhancing both production efficiency and the safety of cell therapy products.

The "PBMC Isolation" software integrated into the CellSep PRO cell processing system allows users to easily adjust separation parameters through an intuitive interface, accommodating various volumes and cell densities of blood samples. This user-friendly software simplifies the process, ensuring convenience and consistency while guaranteeing high-quality PBMC isolation. This feature is particularly important for laboratories and companies involved in efficiently isolating and cultivating PBMCs for subsequent development of cell therapy products.

General protocols

Purpose

In this experiment, the PBMC Isolation process software of the CellSep PRO device is used to isolate PBMCs from 26 whole blood samples and 19 leukopaks. The isolated cells are subsequently used for activation and amplification. The experiment assesses the cell recovery rate, viability, and proliferation to ensure the feasibility of downstream applications.
